On Alabama's 199th birthday, December 14 of 2018, a dance work inspired by Montgomery, Alabama native Zelda Fitzgerald will be performed at the F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum in Montgomery, Alabama. It will feature Alabama dancers and choreography by Victoria Niblett. The event is a free event and open to the community, though donations to the museum and its efforts will be encouraged. The dance work will tell the story of Zelda Fitzgerald, and bring to life her artwork, "Three Ballerinas" which is a part of the Fitzgerald Museum collection that visitors will have the opportunity to see. The performance will last 10-15 minutes with a subsequent Q&A session for audience members to have a chance to contextualize the history discussed and encourage inquiry for further educational materials, literature, art, and history books.
